A 'shot-out' barrel cannot just be re-chambered as is commonly believed as the pilot on the reamer has nothing to support it in a worn barrel. Barrels can be re-chambered if they have damage to the chamber and little wear in the barrel or if you just want to change the calibre of the rifle.

When chambering your new barrel you will be able to choose from our vast stock of reamers. Chambering work is carried out using our specialist lathes and accurate within 0.001” and you can specify both neck clearance and freebore if desired.

However, re-chambering is a dangerous business from our standpoint as the chance of the tool breaking is much higher. If we undertake to carry out this modification and the reamer breaks it will almost certainly damage or destroy the barrel. We cannot and will not guarantee this won’t happen!

We can also blue print your action during the rebarreling process for additional accuracy if desired.

All re-chambering work must be re-proofed.
